Admissions

Admission Criteria
All Govt. Sr. Sec. Schools of Sikkim offers admission to applicants in different vocational streams in class XI who have passed X.

After declaration of CBSE class 10th result, most of the school issues admission forms. An applicant has to collect the form during the specified time from the respective school where he/she seeks admission.

In some schools, provisional classes may be conducted during the first week of April much before the final result comes out and therefore the applicant are suggested to contact the school immediately after the completion of their final board examination.

Admission decisions are taken by school Principal & by school SMC(School Management Committee), using a combination of factors, including percentage of marks in last examinations passed, sometimes admission test might be conducted at school, may also consider the appropriateness of goals to the course in which applicant is interested.

Minimum Qualification Requirements and Required Records of Academic Work

Minimum required qualification
Xth passed out from CBSE or other equivalent board of Examinations. Few schools have set different pass percentage for admission to particular courses available in their school.

Required Records:
1. Completely filled application form issued from the respective school along with pass port photo 2. Mark sheet or Pass certificate of class X 3. Transfer letter in case of the applicant is not the same school passes out 4. Student ID NO 5. Admission fees( amount decided by school authority)

Admission Fee
An applicant has to pay an admission fees at the time of admission. The admission fees are non- re¬fundable. The fee varies from school to school and the amount is decided by the school principal along with admission authority.

Intake capacity
A maximum of twenty and minimum of ten students per stream may get admission in the school in class XI. It means if a school runs two vocational streams, a total of forty students (20X2=40) may have admission in two different streams. However the final decisions regarding the no. of students to be given admission in a particular stream is taken by the school principal depending upon the total no. of applicant seeking admission in the school and various other factors. Therefore it would be better to contact the school admission authority immediately after the completion of class ten examinations to secure his/her deserve seat.
