with a view to provide composite professional training to candidates in the field of Hospitality/Travel/Tourism, Ministry of DONER, Government of India is providing one year residential training programme for North Eastern candidates at Bangalore and Mysore.

Each and every vocational stream having three major subjects and is composed of practical and theory classes. However, more emphasis has been given on the practical part keeping in view the importance of the subject. The percentage of marks for practical to the different courses is follows as per the CBSE norms:

  • IT Application 50% marks in paper I and II 60% marks in III
  • Electrical Technology 30% marks in Paper I 60% marks in Paper I and II
  • Food Production/Food & Beverage Service 70% marks in each Paper
  • Health Care Science 30% marks in Paper I 40% marks in Paper II and III
  • Financial and Marketing Management 40% marks in Paper I and II 60% marks in Paper III
  • Tourism and Travel 40% marks in each Paper
  • Marketing and Salesmanship 40% in each Paper
  • Horticulture 70% marks in each Paper
  • Auditing and Accounting 40% marks in each Paper

At every school permanent items like implements, equipments, instruments, utensils and consumables (chemicals, seeds, grocery items, etc.) as per the demand of the subjects have been provided for proper functioning of the course and conducting the practical classes. The students carry out the practicals at the schools and maintain records in their practical note books. The equipments were used as and when required under the close monitoring of Vocational Education faculties.
