with a view to provide composite professional training to candidates in the field of Hospitality/Travel/Tourism, Ministry of DONER, Government of India is providing one year residential training programme for North Eastern candidates at Bangalore and Mysore.


Students under VEP shall receive curriculum based education covering each area of the respective subjects. The main objective of the programme is to provide students with generic career development competencies to cope more effectively with their continuing development as students, workers and citizens.

One of the main benefits for students of vocational education is that it prepare them for a specific job. Vocational courses equip them with the skills and qualities required to do a particular job, such as hospitality services, computer networking, Electrical maintenance, etc. Along with classroom instructions, practical knowledge is imparted through fieldwork and participation in various vocational related activities. Laboratory learning is emphasized to give the students practical knowledge on a given subject. This prepares the student for the job at hand and thus, he is able to give full justice to his profession, due to his vast knowledge.
