In order to do so, they must acquire skill based training and competencies to face the competition and acquire a place for themselves where sustainable livelihood is also guaranteed and enhanced.

The vocational education programme at higher secondary stage was initiated in the year 1976 after a conceptual framework for implementation was framed and presented by NCERT. Various institutions all over India introduced Vocational Education at plus two stage of the education system and about 150 Vocational courses are being offered at different schools. These courses cover all major career areas like Agriculture, Engineering & Technology, Business and Commerce, Home Science, Humanities etc.

Senior Secondary Schools.

The subjects in every stream introduced in the schools were as per the ones offered by the CBSE and are being implemented in the other parts of the country. The syllabi and the scheme of studies prescribed by the CBSE were followed. The first batch of the students participated in the CBSE Higher Secondary Board Exam in the year 2006.
